“That was unfortunate. That was essentially an exchange with Cowboys supporters seated near me,” Jones stated during a Tuesday interview. “Present was a swarm of Cowboys fans—not New York fans, Cowboys fans. The whole venue was filled with excitement for the Cowboys.”
He further emphasized that the signal was completely unintentional, occurring amid the excitement following the team’s final touchdown. “I just put up the wrong digit,” he noted. “The action was inadvertently done. I’m not kidding. Should you call it accidental, you can. However, it got resolved rapidly.”
