An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.

The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
